MEET GINA ALGERI

This is Gina, a.k.a Gi, a.k.a one of my best friends, without hesitation. (Another best friend of mine is Haley, who, if you haven't read about yet, you should!) And I hesitate quite a lot. Some fun facts: Me and Gi share the same birthday, which is the topic that our mom's bonded over before they became good friends! Even though Gi doesn't really like when I say cheesy or corny things about her, I'm going to start off with them anyways, because you should always tell ya friends why you love em:) so here we go:

Anyone who knows Gina, knows just how crazy and outgoing she is. From always being in middle of the dance floor to speaking up for her friends, I admire how much Gina does not care about what other people think about her. She's also one of the strongest people I've ever meant. I know that this year has probably been her toughest. And I also know that things like that don't just end. If that makes any sense. Which is why I say that Gina is one of the strongest people I know, because everyday is a challenge, but she pulls through and puts on a smile like the bomb a$$ b**** she is. (sorry, I didn't know how else to describe it) We may get in some fights here and there but honestly who doesn't. And overall I know that no matter what she'd always have my back, and I hope she knows that I'd have hers. (Well since you're reading this, Hi Gi, I got your back!!) Also, one more thing before I get into the Q&A, whenever you hang

out with Gina, be prepared to laugh, (especially if she's with her sister, marla, whose pics are going up on my blog later on!) because she's probably one of the funniest people ever, and I'm not only saying that because I laugh a lot... trust me.

I asked Gi a handful of questions so you could get to know her better.

Fav way to relax?

Probably going to the beach or watching a movie.

Something you're extremely opinionated about?

Equal rights.

Something you're proud of this year?

Crew, and probably working so hard... making that money

I can confirm that Gina worked plenty this summer.

When do you feel the most confident?

When I'm with my friends and family.

Someone you look up to and why?

Martin Luther King JR!

(Fun fact: Gi is obsessed with him and also made sure that I added in the "JR" to his name, so I'm not talking his dad)

I think his mind was so advanced because he pictured things so far ahead and different from everyone else.

Current favorite food?

Sushi always, (fun fact: I think the first thing me and Gi bonded on was sushi!) but currently I've been liking soup, especially from Hula Grille!

Fav quote/philosophy on life?

Everything happens for a reason, even though we probably don't know what that reason is.

Fav place to visit?

OHIO

Pet peeves?

People who don't pay attention when you're talking.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Like me, Gina wasn't sure of the answer so instead just gave a general one.

I want to do something I'm passionate about and something that I'd say/speak about with confidence.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT GINA: How she's her own person and stands up for what she believes in.

FAVORITE TIME YOU AND GINA HUNG OUT: New York is probably always gonna be #1, I love when we see concerts, but another was when her and hal slept over my house and we laughed like maniacs for about an hour over a picture of Gina's teeth.

THING THAT REMINDS ME OF GINA: Sushi, I sometimes snap a pic to her when I have it without her.

SONG THAT REMINDS ME OF GINA: Listen by Beyonce, she can belt that song.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF GINA: We met during the crew season and she was so open to coming up and introducing herself and she also danced a lot so I thought she was kinda crazy, not gonna lie.

To end this blog post I just wanted to say this to Gi, if she's reading this:

Hey Giiii, thanks for always being you, for always caring about your friends, for trying to spread positivity and uniqueness everywhere you go, for laughing at how awk I am, for sharing the same bday, for being apart of one of the nicest families I know, for dressing away from the crowd, for loving sushi like I do, for giving confidence to your friends, for letting life hit and you and still getting back up, for being so crazy and funny, and most importantly, for being my bff:) Love you!
